Service Policy

Proposed effective date: July 30, 2026 · Last updated: July 30, 2026

Operational draft. This page describes how we intend to run the service and is pending Nevada legal and accounting review before live checkout opens. We publish it for transparency, and it may change after that review.

This page is an operational description of how the service runs. It is not a promise of legal, tax, or MLS compliance for your jurisdiction. It is a draft pending attorney and accounting review before live checkout, and the Terms of Service control if the two conflict.

Scope

Setup covers designing, building, and launching one realtor website tailored to your intake and design selections. Monthly care covers ongoing hosting, backups, uptime monitoring, and reasonable-use routine changes to that site. Setup is a one-time payment on Own Your Website; on Start With $0, setup is included in the monthly plan payments.

Both plans receive the same initial website scope and the same review and approval process. The difference is how you pay and when ownership eligibility can arise.

Human review

Bryan reviews every project personally. Public-facing design and content on your live website does not change, and nothing is published, without your approval or an explicit approval action inside the portal. Automated tools help draft and organize work, but they never publish, charge, or approve on their own.

Narrow urgent-change exception. We may act without prior approval only when reasonably necessary for security, legal or regulatory compliance, abuse prevention, service availability, or infrastructure and platform maintenance. Such changes stay limited to what the situation reasonably requires, and we give notice when practical. This is not permission for ordinary unapproved content or design edits.

Ownership

On Own Your Website, ownership of the transferable website code and design, and eligibility for the transfer package, arise only after both of these happen: your setup payment is successfully verified, and the 14-day setup refund period expires — or, earlier than that, you sign or electronically accept a clear, informed, irrevocable waiver of the remaining refund right. If you receive any setup-fee refund, those code ownership and transfer rights end and you must stop using and delete any copies received, subject to applicable law. On Start With $0, ownership is not earned by a fixed number of payments: it arises only when your net qualifying ownership credits — settled, nonrefunded eligible payments, less reversals — reach the ownership requirement snapshotted at the plan and terms you accepted, and only then subject to the remaining transfer gates (your request, the refund-period or waiver condition, your account being current, and the transfer package rules). Cancelling before the requirement is met stops the service, does not transfer ownership, and does not create a refund. In both cases, you own the brand assets you submit, your leads and lead submissions, your customer data, and your analytics exports. After the relevant ownership trigger, you also own the custom design and transferable source code produced for your site. Website and source-code ownership under the selected plan is separate from domain or subdomain ownership (see the Domain section below). Boring Business Work retains its internal tools, prompts, automations, reusable templates and components, fulfillment systems, project history, and production methods used to deliver the service across customers. Third-party licenses and platforms remain subject to their respective provider terms.

Promotions, discounts, and how ownership is earned

Ownership on Start With $0 requires both at least 20 successfully settled, qualifying, nonreversed payments and a snapshotted dollar contribution in net settled, nonrefunded ownership credits. The upfront ownership price is $2,000. The Start With $0 installment ownership price is $2,400. On each successful Start With $0 payment the snapshotted service portion (currently $29/month) is allocated to hosting and care first, and only the remaining eligible pre-tax amount earns ownership credit — normally $120 per payment on the current $149 plan, reaching $2,400 on the 20th successful payment, after which billing becomes $29/month for hosting and care. Discounts, refunds, disputes, and missed payments delay that date but never reduce the required amount. Fully waived accounts normally accumulate no ownership credit and have no projected ownership date; if such a customer later pays eligible amounts totalling the requirement, the dollar rule controls. Taxes, care, domains, IDX/MLS, add-ons, third-party fees, credits and waived amounts, failed payments, and post-ownership care never earn credit, and refunds or chargebacks reverse the related credit. Meeting the amount does not itself deliver anything — the transfer request, refund-period or waiver, account-current, and package rules still apply. See the Terms of Service for the controlling text.

Complete Website Code Transfer Package

Once the ownership requirements for your plan are satisfied, we prepare and provide a Complete Website Code Transfer Package at no additional transfer fee. It contains a clean source-code repository or downloadable archive, the text and the transferable images and logos you supplied that are incorporated into the website, other website assets we are legally permitted to transfer, dependency and build configuration files, placeholders or an inventory of the required environment-variable names with no credentials or secret values, and a written manifest of what is included and excluded. We run a reasonable build check on the package before delivery.

The package is not a running or fully functional hosted website. It does not include our internal development platform or proprietary internal production tools, prompts, project history, templates, or methods; credentials or secret values; databases, database records, or lead records; user accounts, passwords, or authentication systems; storage buckets; server or edge functions; email systems or delivery configuration; Stripe or payment systems; analytics infrastructure; CRM integrations; IDX or MLS services; third-party accounts or licenses; hosting accounts; customer data migration; domain or DNS configuration; deployment; installation; setup instructions; consultation; transition assistance; or post-transfer technical support.

After cancellation or code transfer, Boring Business Work does not provide hosting migration, installation on a new host, deployment, registrar transfer work, DNS migration, technical setup, setup instructions, consultation, transition assistance, or post-transfer technical support, free or paid. That is our current policy unless we later adopt a separate written service. The package will likely require modification by a developer before it runs elsewhere. You are solely responsible for selecting, hiring, and paying your own developer, hosting provider, and all third-party services, and we make no promise that the package will run elsewhere as delivered.

Domain, DNS, and SSL

During initial setup and while you have an active applicable service, we provide reasonable assistance connecting a domain you own, including reasonable DNS and SSL configuration support. If you already own or independently register a custom domain, you keep ownership of that domain and remain responsible for the registrar account, renewal charges, permissions, and third-party fees unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. If you do not have a domain, Boring Business Work may provide a subdomain under a domain we control so your site can go live. The root domain and any provided subdomain remain owned and controlled by Boring Business Work, you receive the right to use the subdomain only while the applicable service remains active, and it is not transferred as part of website ownership or cancellation.

The exclusions on this page apply to exit work: after cancellation or code transfer we do not perform registrar transfers, DNS migration to another host, or deployment elsewhere. That is separate from the ordinary domain-connection help included during active service.

Analytics and benchmarking

You retain ownership of your leads, lead submissions, and customer data. Boring Business Work processes website analytics and lead data only as needed to operate, secure, support, troubleshoot, and improve the service, and may create and use aggregated or de-identified statistics derived from analytics, lead activity, and outcome information you voluntarily share for product improvement, internal benchmarking, and truthful marketing or performance reporting. We do not sell lead data, do not use it for third-party targeted advertising, and do not contact your leads for Boring Business Work marketing or sales. Any public performance claim we make will be based on documented data with an accurate time period, comparison basis, and — where relevant — sample size or qualifying conditions. We do not promise traffic, leads, closings, or revenue. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on categories, retention, and privacy request rights.

Turnaround

Reasonable-use routine changes are typically completed within a few business days, in the order received. More involved requests may require additional time or a small quote.

Cancellation notice

Cancelling any monthly service, including care and Start With $0 plan service, requires at least 30 days' written notice. You may submit a cancellation request through the customer portal or by email from the account on file. It becomes effective 30 calendar days after we receive it. A scheduled renewal may occur during that notice period, and charges continue through it. There are no prorated or partial-period refunds unless applicable law requires them. After the effective cancellation date we will not start a new recurring charge, except for amounts already due or otherwise authorized. The existing paid-period and post-cancellation transfer-window rules still apply.

Reasonable use

Routine care means hosting, ordinary maintenance, support, security and availability work within our platform, and reasonable small edits to existing content and layout: copy tweaks, photo swaps, contact info updates, listing status changes, adding testimonials, and small section adjustments.

It does not include redesigns, new applications or features, large page additions, extensive copywriting, custom databases, e-commerce, custom automation, CRM/IDX/MLS integrations, third-party configuration, major asset processing, regulatory or compliance work, non-realtor content, work outside our platform, or emergency and expedited requests. Those need a separate written quote. Reasonable-use limits, scheduling, prioritization, and technical feasibility apply — care is not unlimited labor.

Satisfaction commitment

We include reasonable first-build revisions within the original agreed scope until you approve the initial launch. This is a commitment to work through the initial revision round with you — it is not a 100% money-back promise, and it does not guarantee leads, rankings, or any other business outcome.

Content you provide

You are responsible for the accuracy and legal compliance of any text, photos, listings, disclosures, or brokerage-mandated content you provide. We may decline content that is misleading or violates third-party rights.

Availability

We aim for high uptime through our hosting provider. Brief maintenance or provider outages may occur; we do not currently offer a formal uptime SLA.

CRM and IDX / MLS integrations

CRM and IDX/MLS integrations may be offered as separately scoped, separately priced services during an active account. They are not included in either base plan and are not covered as routine changes under monthly care. Availability, pricing, timing, and functionality depend on the CRM, your MLS or IDX provider, your market, the number of feeds and agents, integration complexity, approvals, licenses, and third-party terms and fees. We may connect or configure approved integrations while your service is active, but we do not promise that any provider will approve, maintain, or continue an integration, and providers may change, degrade, or discontinue their services at any time. You are responsible for your provider, brokerage, and MLS compliance and for all third-party fees, which may be separate from amounts paid to Boring Business Work and may recur.

CRM/IDX systems, accounts, data, licenses, feeds, credentials, third-party code, and backend functionality are excluded from the Complete Website Code Transfer Package, and we do not migrate or rebuild them, or their data or databases, at cancellation or transfer.
